QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR BEGINNINGS

Question #1:
Isn't it a scientific fact that man existed before Adam was created ?

First, let me remind you that what some people call a "scientific fact" is just a theory promoted by some people in the scientific community. There are many key scientists who do not even believe in evolution (Dr. Werner Von Braun, the developer of our space program and Dr. Edward Teller, former director of our nucleur research programs, and sometimes called the "father of the 'A' Bomb").

Don't forget the "scientific fact" of the middle ages that the earth was flat, and the center of universe. Anyone who disagreed was considered a "religious nut".

Until recently, it was a "scientific fact" that a balanced breakfast consisted of two eggs, four strips of bacon, bread and butter, adn fruit juice. Now, there is a clear understanding that such a diet will end up sludging up your arteries, leading to premature death.

The only solid truth that never changes is the Bible. And that is where we will turn to answer this question. The Bible says that Adam was the first man.

"The first man Adam was made a living soul." - 1 Corinthians 15:45

The notion that the first true man gradually evolved from chimps or apes is contradicted by the Bible. It says,
"And the LORD God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." - Genesis 2:7

There is no way that can be interpreted to say that man came from apes, or some other sub-human species. Adam was God's unique creation, made in "His own image."

Question #2:
Where did Cain get his wife ?

This is a good question ! But, it's not too hard to figure out.

The Bible says that Eve was the "mother of all living" -- Genesis 3:20 (note: ALL living) This scripture is stated BEFORE Eve had given birth to either Cain or Abel. So WHO were all these people? If the first sons were Cain and Abel, we are left with a large number of daughters.

In a day when they didn't even count daughters (they only counted sons, because they knew that the Savior Who would come would be born to a woman, and that was most important to them) daughter's names were not usually recorded.

It is clearly stated that Eve had both sons and daughters:

"And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters." Gen. 5:4

When Cain got to the age where he was ready to marry, he had MANY girls to choose from. Considering that people lived for around 900 years then, Cain could have seen many children born, and upwards of seven generations (numbering in the tens of thousands!) of little ones following him, before he died.
