FUNNY OR TRAGIC ? YOU DECIDE...

Isn't it funny how we need three or four weeks advance notice to fit a church activity into our schedule, but will make immediate changes in our schedule when we hear a relative is coming...

Isn't it funny how everyone wants a front row seat at a ball game or concert, but almost fight over getting back row seats at church...

Isn't it funny how a person says they don't know what to say after the first three minutes of prayer, but they can spend more than an hour on the phone gossiping to a friend...

Isn't it funny when people are thrilled that a baseball game goes into extra innings, but complain if a church sermon goes five minutes longer than usual...

Isn't it funny how ten dollars seems like nothing when spent at a grocery store or restaurant,but we think it's a big deal when we put the same amount into the offering plate at church...

Isn't it funny how some people say they can't memorize Scripture, and talk about the Lord, but spend hours each week repeating word for word some gossip they heard about someone else...

Isn't it funny how hard it is for some people to make time to read the Bible, but the TV schedule is always dog-eared from use...

NO IT REALLY ISN'T FUNNY, IS IT ? Situations like the above reveal who is serious about their relationship with the Lord and who isn't !

We pray that YOU are SERIOUS about knowing the Lord better !
