JEREMIAH CHAPTER 29

EVERYBODY HAS AN OPINION

Some We Want To Believe, Others We Don't. Which Should We Accept Now ?

MANY DIFFERENT OPINIONS:

1. The opinion of the religious men.
     A. Those who trust and believe the Word of God.
          - Did not come because they wanted it to come. 2 Peter 1:21
     B. Those who trust the leading of their own hearts. (Women, too.) (Jer. 23:26)
          Ezek. 13:17

2. The opinion of those who want power.
     A. Those who want to keep what they have. (Jer. 6:13, 23:16)
     B. Those who want to expand their power. Titus 1:11, 1 Thes. 2:4

3. The opinion of those who are known enemies.
     A. Sometimes they are not seen as such. (Wanting what you have). Matt. 7:15
     B. Sometimes are accepted. (Patty Hearst syndrome) Acts 8:9-24, 1 John 4:1-4,
          Mark 13:22, 1 Tim. 4:1


BOTTOM LINE: The truth is in the fulfilling of their prophecies. (Jer. 28:9)
